Westcon Group Announces Track-It, Real-Time Order Tracking System for ResellersBERLIN, FEBRUARY 6, 2006—Westcon Group, Inc., the world's leading specialty distributor in networking, security, mobility and convergence, announced the availability of Track-It, a real-time order tracking system designed to help customers receive the latest information on order status via automatic e-mail updates. The information service is integrated into Westcon Group’s E-Commerce system although it is not required for customers to be registered with E-Commerce to use the service. By using Track-It, Westcon Group customers can receive order status information, including actual and estimated ship dates, in real-time. For invoiced orders, customers can conveniently look up basic information such as ship-to address, shipping method, shipping date, invoice numbers and order totals—including freight. Carrier tracking numbers and serial numbers can also be accessed. Thomas Schoon, vice president, Europe, Westcon Group European Operations, commented: “Our logistics, warehousing and dispatching capabilities are among the best in the business. Track-It provides an additional level of transparency to the customer fulfillment process, enabling VARs to receive a notice on precisely when an item has shipped.
