Westcon Group Names Dean Douglas President and CEO; Tom Dolan Appointed to Chairman of the Board

Tarrytown, NY, March 12, 2009 - Westcon Group, Inc., the leading specialty distributor in networking, convergence, security and mobility, announced that Dean Douglas will become President and CEO of Westcon Group effective April 1, 2009. His predecessor Tom Dolan, who co-founded the Company in 1985, will become Chairman of the Board of Directors. These changes are in keeping with a succession plan implemented by Westcon Group last year.

Mr. Douglas joined Westcon Group as its Chief Operating Officer in June, 2008 and has held senior executive roles at Motorola and IBM. Prior to joining Westcon Group, he was CEO of LCC International, Inc., the largest independent wireless engineering company in the world. Since co-founding Westcon Group in 1985, Mr. Dolan has provided executive leadership across all business areas and has played a fundamental role in the Company’s overall growth to become a $3 billion global distributor.
